1. Make sure your pet’s coat is dry and free from heavy dirt or debris.

2. Check the coat and skin for wounds, irritation or severe matting before grooming.

3. Begin with the wider-spaced side to gently loosen light tangles and small mats.

4. Use short, controlled strokes in the natural direction of hair growth.

5. Hold the fur close to the skin when working through a tangle to reduce pulling.

6. Use the finer side to remove loose fur and finish the coat.

7. Groom one small section at a time and avoid repeatedly brushing the same area.

8. Remove trapped fur from the teeth after use.

Remove loose hair and debris from the grooming teeth after every use.
